Yamaha Motorcycle Service and Repair Manuals
Download Factory Yamaha Motorcycle Repair Manuals
You bought the bike, so you should get the information you need to fix it. Our Yamaha collection puts factory-level service and repair manuals in your hands as downloadable PDF files, with larger workshop sets bundled as ZIP archives and select diagnostic titles available as online software. That means torque figures, wiring diagrams, and step-by-step procedures without a dealer service appointment or a membership to some corporate diagnostic tool.
From a YZF-R6 track weapon to a V Star cruiser or a YZ dirt bike, one membership covers the Yamaha you ride and a lot more. The same account will give you access to manuals for cars, trucks, tractors, outboards, and small engines, so the fix you signed up for is rarely the last one you’ll address using your emanuals account.

Our Yamaha coverage runs across every major family the brand has built over the years. From carbureted air-cooled classics to modern crossplane fours, here are just some of the Yamaha motorcycle models and series that we cover:
- Supersport and sport: YZF-R1 and YZF-R6, plus FZ, FZR, FZS, and FZ7 models
- Naked and sport-touring: MT Series (CP2 and CP3 engines), Tracer, Fazer, FJ, FJR, and GTS1000
- Cruisers and Star line: V Star and Virago (XV and XVS), Bolt, Road Star, Roadliner, Stratoliner, Raider, Warrior, Royal Star, Venture, and the V4 VMAX
- Adventure and dual sport: Super Tenere (XT1200Z), Tenere, XT, XTZ, TW, and TTR models
- Motocross and off-road: YZ two-strokes and four-strokes, WR, IT, DT, and Enduro models
- Scooters and small displacement: TMAX, SMAX, Zuma, Vino, Majesty, Aerox, MIO, Jog, Cygnus, Nouvo, and Fino
- Classic and vintage: RD, RZ, XS, YDS, TX, XJ, XJR, SR, and XSR models
If you ride more than a Yamaha, the same membership follows you across other motorbike brands, powersports, and general equipment, so your account rarely stays single-purpose for long.

Finding the right Yamaha motorcycle manual starts with searching by year, make, and model, so a 2007 YZF-R6 pulls up different coverage from a 1983 XV750 Virago. Each listing shows its file type, PDF or ZIP, before you open it, so you know what you are getting.
Yamaha revised engines and part numbers mid-model-run more than once, and serial ranges on older Star and Virago bikes can get mixed up quite easily, so if a listing does not clearly match your VIN or engine number, our support team will check the year split and point you to the correct file.
Access depends on your plan. The free trial is view-only, letting you read manuals online without downloading them, while paid plans add the ability to download PDF and ZIP files for offline use in a garage where signal is spotty.
Online software and OVA diagnostic sessions run inside the viewer rather than as downloads. Your library access continues for the life of your membership, and any PDF or ZIP files you have already downloaded stay yours to keep even if you later cancel. For current plan tiers and what each one includes, see our pricing page.
Yamaha Service and Repair Manual FAQs

Yamaha's model codes carry most of the answer. The letters and numbers on your title, like XVS1100, YZF-R6, or WR250F, spell out the family and displacement, and the year matters because Yamaha changed engines and wiring inside a single line.
The crossplane R1 from 2009 onward, for example, is a different animal from earlier R1s. Check your VIN and engine number against the manual's stated year range. If a mid-year change makes it unclear, message our customer support team with those numbers, and they'll point you to the correct file.

Most Yamaha titles are downloadable PDF files, and larger factory workshop sets are often bundled as ZIP archives that you unzip to get the full manual and diagram set. Some diagnostic titles run as online software or OVA sessions inside the viewer rather than as downloads. Every listing shows its file type before you open it, so there are no surprises.

Yes, if you are on a paid plan. The free trial is view-only for reading online, and paid plans add downloading so you can pull PDF and ZIP files onto a laptop, phone, or tablet and open them without an internet connection. That helps if you're in a place where WiFi does not reach. Online software and OVA sessions stay online only and are not downloadable.

This can happen, especially on long-running lines like the Virago and V Star. Send our support team your model, year, and VIN or engine number, and they will confirm the version and get you the right file.

It does. The same membership reaches other motorbike brands plus cars, trucks, ATVs, outboards, tractors, generators, and household equipment. Plenty of members join for one Yamaha and end up pulling manuals for a work truck, a lawn mower, or an old outboard sitting in the corner of their garage.

Forums are fine to give you an idea, but they will not hand you Yamaha's torque values, valve clearance specs, or a clean wiring diagram with correct connector views and wire colors. High-revving fours like the R6 need valve clearances checked and shimmed to spec, air-cooled V-twins such as the Virago and V Star have their own timing and carburetor settings, and street bikes run on mileage-based service while a YZ motocrosser is maintained by engine hours.
Known trouble spots like Virago starter clutches and aging regulator/rectifiers are far easier to chase with the factory procedure in front of you, and one wrong torque figure on a stretch bolt can cost you an engine.
